Just 85 kilometres from the city of Christchurch, New Zealand, Akaroa is an historic French and British settlement nestled in the heart of an ancient volcano.
The village with its colonial architecture, is very quiet at this time of the year but come summer visitors will flock to enjoy the attractions of this little town and to just relax in the sun.
Thanks for looking folks.

Hi Patricia! Lovely architecture you showed here. I like how you framed your shot, showing enough picket fence. It is well balanced. I like the details and depth.
TFS,
Freddie :)

Akaroa is certainly an intriguing little town, with its Frenchness giving it a truly unique twist.
Nice capture of this colonial-era house, good light, colour, crop.
Good work

Hi Pat,
The ragged paintwork on this building is just begging for an abstract - I've never been to Akaroa, it looks lovely. Nice lighting and good crop.

Quaint image Pat, I like the louvre windows and picket fence. Akaroa is a lovely town nestled on the peninsula. Last year I attended the Bastille Day festivities there. Quite a colourful occasion! Very enjoyable. YOur photo is framed well and good DOF. I have done a week workshop for you, hope you like it.

TFS, Martyn

I loved wandering around Akoroa - which I did unfortunately, before digital days!!
Nicely composed Pat, showing us the garden and weeds, and the paintwork starting to fall off the timber. Looks like it need a bit of TLC.
Cheers
Janice
