Kitty Puss

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I posted this on Trek Nature but didn't get a great response as this Lion is in captivity. Anyway I still think it's one of my best animal photos so I post it here on Treklens to see what you all think. This Puss was photographed while I was in the cage on the back of the feeding truck at Orana Park in Christchurch, Canterbury NZ. I was covered in Lion slobber but it was worth it to feel her breathing on me all of 6 inches from the top of my head, an amazing experience |

Brilliant but scarey shot Steven. An experience you will never forget I bet.
Amazing detail, so close it's a wonder your lens did'nt fog up.
Well done,
Dad.
Hi Steven
Gosh I bet you were glad the cage was between you and this "kitty puss"? Good detail and you deserve points for surviving the fear factor. Well done. :-)
cheers,
Martyn
Havent been there since 1984, I bet it has grown since then. Somewhere I still have a photo of a 'Big Puss' who scared the daylights out of ex, he had turned to say something to me and Puss hit the fence behind him.
I was mean, I laughed, Puss was only interested in using the fence to have a scratch of a shoulder on.

Hey Steven
Great shot mate. I agree with you... this would be well worth the slobber lol.
I haven't been in the feed truck but I do miss the old days of actually driving your car around the park & in the feeding area.
Thanks for sharing, well done.
Tony
