[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Lake Tekapo, this road is on the way to Lake Alexanderina where my Grandparents have had a batch (hut, crib) since the 1950s. There is no electricity still and the hot water is all heated through the coal range oven...shower is outside in a shed built for showering in and the toilet is in another shed next to this!
I took the kids there one year, they loved it and there is a stream running in front of the batch with young trout fish that can be caught in nets, then let go again.

I dont get to go there very often, but what wonderful scenery there is!
I took this with my FILM camera, images were put onto CD, I have had to adjust colour and noise reduction as the image was really grainy.How do you correct that without the picture then going too soft like mine did?
Suggestions welcome please. :)

Really fine post for the first time in 2009. :) Amazing landscape, fantastic scene. I really like the majestic mountains in the background and the empty lake with its special blue shade. Well done, have a happy 2009!

We stayed here in April for 2 nights. What a beautiful place it is. And the lake with its awesome colours - just perfect...
You have lost some of the details, but the scenery and colours still show up.
