What a day, got up at 4am to get a nice sunrise at Sumner beach :) Could not see the weather heading out, so set off with the kids. It started spitting with rain half way there...never mind, we were up and on the way!
Once at the beach it was dark and cloudy..then heavy rain started. I had to make a quick trip back to the car to get the umbrella. Held this over the camera (on tripod) so I could get some photos...cause I was there and had to get something!!! LOL

So no lovely colours of the new day...but instead a blue Dawn. No colour changes...this is how it was!

A Blue Dawn of the new day

Thanks for viewing
regards
Tracey

Hi Tracey
What a shame about the weather, but I do like the deep blue colours here. It is a very dark moody scene and the dark rocks and sea, sand and sky make up a really unusual image.
Well done
Janice

Hi Tracy,
Absolutely great ocean scenery at sunrise, the cold bluish tones look perfect. I think it was worth getting up so early for this sight. :) The rocks, the wet sand and the seacspe behind makes a harmonic and pleasant composition. Nice contribution to the theme. Well done, TFS!
Best wishes,
Kristof

Hello Tracey, it looks rather cold to me[?] it must be the shades of blue.
The rocks have interesting shapes in silhouette.
Very brave getting up at 4a.m. Didn't your children mind?
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Tracey,
This shot was well worth the early morning rise,
its full of atmosphere and the rugged silhouetted rocks look great.
Great shots don't just happen you have to work hard to get them. Well done, most people would give up once the rain came on
cheers
Jack

Hi Tracey!
You rose early morning, but you got an unusual atmosphere and scene. I like this mood, this cool blue color, the dark silhouettes of the rocks. Nice.
Regards, Csilla

Hi Tracey

This one has superb shadow detail & good mood. Excellent sharpness, & I like the dual black & blue colours. Tfs!

Hello Tracey,

Perfect shot for the theme. The mood is perfect, nice balanced compostion. Good POV. Rocks are dark, but I must admit it creates mystery and amplifies the mood. Great work and TFS.
