My darling cat brought in a cricket the other night, it got away from her...but lost one of its legs :(
I finally found its hiding place on the leg of my coffee table (I had to listen to its song and track it down)
Not wanting to miss the opportunity to get a few shots, I took as many as I could without letting it fly off to hide again.
The cricket is on my laptop lid. Once I had finished I set it free, although I am not sure how long it will last without its back leg!
PP cropped, contrast added resized and sharpened.
Thanks for looking

OMG! That is downright scary Tracey!! Look at those eyes! This is a cool macro! I don't like crickets because of those sticky feet! They jump on you and you can't get them off!...ewwwwww
I love the darker BG so he really pops out!

Hi Tracey,
Very impressive macro, thought it was a Praying Mantis when I first saw the thumbnail! Extremely sharp and the details are second to none. Well lit and presented.
TFS,
Scott.
Hello Tracey,
Although it may be missing an appendage, the powerful square stance and the well defined tibia appear to be the focal interest to me. You have to thank your cat for bringing in this katydid. My complements...Danilo
