A Strange Afternoon

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
After more than a month, I was finally able to get my camera back from the repairs. They had to replace the shutter switch.
I took the camera for a spin this weekend to see if it is working alright, and so far things are looking good.
This was taken near Bottle Lake Forest near the beach. This is an HDR picture of three images (-2 EV, 0 EV, and +2 EV) done through qtpfsgui and PS.
Cheers! |

Hi Pierre,
good work with the HDR - not overdone, it really emphasizes the texture and colours in the old tree stump
cheers
Jack
Hi Pierre,
Good POV and nice tone mapping with HDR. The stump in the FG doesn't seem completely sharp in my opinion, maybe slight camera shake when taking the different exposures? Not sure what qtpfsgui is like, but in PhotoMatix Pro there is an option to align the source images by matching features before tone mapping. Nice colours and shades though.
TFS,
Scott.
Nicely spotted Pierre.
Is this the little water hole on the way to the beach?
I must say I have not noticed this tree stump.
I like your POV, and the clouds really make the shot.
Regards Tracey

Hi Pierre, yes the camera seems to be working just fine. Great texture in this shot. Thanks, Dave
Hi Pierre,
An almost HDR image, but a nice one. Like the high contrast in this image. Great natural colours and a fine DOF. The sky with the fluffy clouds appears a bit unnatural though. Nevertheless a nice picture.
