What is he doing? Apart from smoking?

Can you guess before you look at the workshop?

I photographed this man in the Cathedral Square in Christchurch City when we were on holiday last month in the South Island.

Christchurch City is a pleasure to walk around. We stayed there for a couple of days and got to know the roads and their beautiful parks really well. Christchurch has two rivers that go through it with the Avon wandering through its heart.

We walked and walked and walked. It's all flat, never crowded, the river is never far away, the trams and bright red phone boxes add a quirky touch, parks and gardens invite you to stop awhile, and there are plenty of good outdoor cafes for a coffee stop. It's all very, very likeable.

Okay, the man is playing CHESS. Check this out

These oversized chess pieces are available for anyone to have a game of chess. This chess player was snapped contemplating his next move.

If your in Christchurch I suggest you go to Cathedral Square and see if you can play a game of chess with the locals.

We found that there was always someone playing it, even at night.

A good profile Janice, cigarette and all but I see in the workshop quite a few other smokers. Well cropped, good skin tones and nice blurred background. TFS,
David

No doubt, he is doing a thing, very needed, right ?
Not even time to lay down his sigaret. I call it 'urgent'.!
Oh...wel..., its near the Church, so maybe 'full house', and he is praying outside, where he can have his sigaret, without complanes of the priest.
Okay, I will have a look at the Workshop. Hopefully, its not a picture of the famous 'Little man of Brussels' haha
Best wishes, Janice.
