[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo during a day trip to Arthurs Pass in the Southern Alps a few years ago. A large amount of snow had fallen recently making for some great photography opportunities.

I didn't take a chance using this POV in the middle of the road as traffic was very light.

Hi Martyn,
Awesome shot. The snow covered mountains look so great, very dramatic whites. The colours of the snow and tarmac blend well together. Excellent POV and sharpness.

Hi Martyn !
Nice catch, with some excellent colors.
Landscape well. Congratulations.
A nice weekend,
Adrian

Hi Martyn, it's so odd to see a shot from NZ with snow in it!!
Love the way the bottom half of the shot appears desaturated contrasting with the blue sky. Great shot from the middle of the road.

Watch out for the traffic!!
Good to see the snow Martyn. I'd love to travel down there when it's been snowing.
It's a black, white, brown and blue scene. Well composed and great to see
Janice

Hello Martyn!
Very beautiful winter composition and excellent point of view and DOF!
Nice colours and good light!
Best regards!
Lili

No wonder you shot this one. Wicked! Great shot with the snow and nice job with the black edged framing too. The road is perfect as lead-in and the hills are well placed, high in the frame.

The only other thing I can suggest is a gradient (in PP, or using a Cokin filter) to deepen the upper part of the sky, that is always a breathtaking effect.

Hi Martyn, Good honest photograph with the strong contrast between the black bitumen road and the brilliant white snow. Good example of paralax. TFS. Murray.
