[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was the view along the beach at New Brighton early one Winter morning. In distance is Banks Peninsula.

I took this photo as the sun was just beginning to rise on the horizon to the left of this view (check out my pier photos) and the tempr was sub-zero but I think well worth the cold to take a few photos of a winter dawn in Canterbury, South Island.

Howdy neighbour, I lke the contrast between the colourful sky and the almost monochrome of the land.

Awesome view Martyn, what a fiery looking sky! Definitely worth getting up early for mornings like these (although sounds like it was bloody cold). The colours have come out really well, the POV was a nice choice too. Well seen.
