Arthur's Pass in the South Island of New Zealand, photographers paradise

I prepped this photo tonight on my work laptop, i always use my home desktop however thought i'd give the laptop a try, the colours aren't as accurate as my external monitor, therefore colours maybe slightly over done ?

Hi Steven !

I've opened the Large Version and felt like I was right there in the middle of the road admiring those superb mountains.

thanks a lot !

Stunning landscape photo. Awesome scenery. Well photographed given the harsh lighting.

Well done Steven.

Hello Steve,

Well done for producing such a great panoramic shot.
As you say, it's a road to beauty.
The contrast between the scrubland, on the left, the green fields and the crisp white mountains, is very strong.
Your composition is excellent.

My only problem with this type of shot, and I'm not sure what the answer is, is that we tend to see too much road. It is a great lead-in, and well positioned from the corner and yet, there seems to be too much.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

thats a beautiful place, steven.
nice mountains at the back and the diagonal road with sharp details under good lighting conditionsthanks for sharing.

Regards,
Sanjib

Nicely composed and beautifully controlled in terms of exposure and dynamic.

Interestingly on a Compact camera like the Finepix, because of sensor size, the effective aperture here will be about f/16 to f/18 - perfect for this kind of scene.

Very nice panorama Steven, it looks great on large
cheers

Awesome panorama Steven, looks very clear in it's large form. Would make a great canvas print. Good POV towards the twisting bend in the road, the colours look fine to me.

TFS,
Scott.

Great landscape photo Steven, I like the way the raod lifts with the slight incline towards the mountains. Colours are pretty good on my monitor.
