Nice day
Henri

good shot, composition in B / N and frame, with the different texturass of snow between the rails and the floor, good depth, hugs

Hello Martyn, I like the b/w presentation of this shot;it means that we are not distracted by colours and therefore can concentrate on the view.
I like all the different lines leading our eyes to the distant mountains. The snow adds to the picture.
I hope you were not putting your life at risk by standing on the railway lines? Just joking!
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Martyn,
good PoV and the B&W certainly adds to the cold atmosphere. There seems to be a vertical line down the bottom RHS not sure what it is
cheers
Jack

What a photo! What an opportunity. Love it.

Great use of the rails to draw the eye into the distance - might be nice to see a slightly cropped version so that the left-hand rail leads in from the corner of the frame. Beautifully managed gradients and levels in your b&w treatment of this.

Bom dia Martyn,
What a fantastic perspective! Great in B&W.
Effective low POV and very special DOF.
Good lighting and sharoness.
Parabéns e saude,
Raimundo

Hi, Martyn. Lovely perspective in black and white of a common subject beautifully presented. Composition is very elegant and balanced. The snow and the distant mountains add to the visual impact. Cheers and TFS.

dear Martyn,
this cool, moreover cold feeling is nice to make me think about the life like rails,
maybe the depth made by parallel rails and their vanishing point in this perspective reminds me of the long time of life, both past and future...
B&W image fits this quiet view so much,
thank you,
Akihisa
