[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi,
I took this shot just after dawn last winter whilst on tour in New Zealand. The post in this shot is one of the posts of the jetty at Lake Rotoiti that I posted a couple of days ago.
I weas taken by these three sparrows that were sitting close together on top of the post huddling together to try to stay warm. It was a bitterly cold morning, evidenced by the hoare frost on the top of the post.
Great place for birds, after breakfast I was surrounded by robins, blackbirds, sparrows and some I can't yet identify. I'm intending posting some more birdy shots later.
I've cropped in close to the birds, adjusted levels to bring out the dark plummage, increased saturation to make the bg standout. Framed and rs for TL.

Hi John..nice light on the sparrows here, they look so cute sitting here together, warming up..this photo does tell a story.. well done on that.I like your nice blurred background.

Great shot of these nice sparrows. Background is fine only a bit too much. Made a WS with a tighter crop. Curious what you think. Nevertheless excellent posting my friend. I enjoy the little birds! TFS.
