Buller River near St. Arnaud

Hi,
Another shot taken whilst on my tour around New Zealand last summer. This shows the Buller River valley in it's infacy, near to its outflow from Lake Rotoiti. Taken quite late in the day, as can be seen by the foreground being in shadow. I considered cropping these trees out, but decided against this, I fell it provides a really good frame at the bottom of the shot.
I also cloned out a line of power cables that ran across the middle of the shot and distracted from the view. How a power company can be allowed to build pylons across such a beautiful valley I will never understand.
Put the image through Neat Image too, to reduce the compression due to resize. Hope you like the shot,
Take Care,
John. |

Very nice shot! I like the landscape and the colours. The foreground is a bit too dark, but very nice overall. Well done. Ed
