I must admit I saw Dawns photo today and remembered I had one also.This was taken near Nelson in a shop which had quite a few of of these wonderful carvings around the yard.

great carving is it Maori and how much was it i love this image and the wonderful detail.

I will have to admit that some people have magic powers or should i call it ability in there hands to convert woods in to something beautiful. Also you have managed to capture it well. I like the angle of shot and everything else is superb.
