[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on the Transalpine train journey from Christchurch to Greymouth. I had to crop the top section due to over protection of the lens from the sun by my hand! I wanted to preserve this shot because it gives a sense of the crystal clear mountain air and a feeling of distance.

Love the landscapes of New Zealand! Thank you for another one, good capture, perhapse a little overexposed in the highlights, but with such contrasting scene it would be difficult to produce a correctly exposed image.

Hi Tim,
I will make sure I travel this road on my next trip to New Zealand. I find it hard to capture good exposures on digital cameras. It seems that in one photo, the light areas can be over-exposed and the shadow areas well under-exposed. There is not the same latitude of exposure as there is with film. However, for me personally, I don't think this is over exposed or under. I think you have captured it well. Well done.
Barry.
