Somewhere in the South Island of New Zealand... A typical South Island view, you can go for miles and never see a car!...

Taken last September when I was touring the South Island.

Thanks for viewing folks.

Hello Dawn.
Does this means they still riding on Kangaroo's? haha
Good looking landscape picture, Dawn
Beautiful view.

Hi
This looks like Tarras in Central Otago, heading towards the Lindis Pass ... could I be right??
Nice capture.

You make NZ seem huge with the comment about not seeing anyone for hours Dawn. Very much the South Island and reminiscent of what I saw there in 2004. Well composed and lovely colours. TFS,
David

Yup, I get that same feeling ... it takes twice as long to get anywhere because there are so many views that just make you go *gasp!* - and you stop the car, and you grab the shot ...

Beautiful scene, lovely sharpness, depth of field, and light. One tiny observation, perhaps there's a little much green and not enough red and blue in the shot? I'll try a workshop ...

What a delightful scene,Wonderful view with the mountain and snow set against the blue sky. Both the road and the fence to draw the eye into the image and lovely sharp foreground

Great shot

Nicely composed Dawn, very good clarity and lighting.

Hi Dawn,

Excellent composition, with great perspective, with both the road and fence, leading the eye to the center and the impressive mountains in the BG. Excellent clarity, colors and great detail and sharpness. The afternoon lighting gives a very lovely mellow feeling.
Well done!

Vassilis

Hi Dawn

I love this photo. To me this is exactly how I imagine the Otago landscape - having never been there!! (inexcusable).

The nice low angle of the light provides some interesting texture detail and contrasts in the long grass. Nice perspectives drawing the viewer into the photograph.

I've created an alternative version in a workshop, I hope you don't mind.
