[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My nearest supermarket is at Wanaka which is two hours drive and always a rushed trip. On the drive home these mountains are visible and this day I detoured to take a closer look .... I wish I could have waited another thirty minutes to capture the changing light.

Two hours to the Supermarket!! You don't want to forget anything, do you?
What awesome graggy mountains, but I imagine they would be covered in snow right now. Super colours Neroli, the sun gives a beautiful golden glow to the hills and trees.
Your South Island is so beautiful...

Beautiful view here Neroli, the trees look wonderful against the mountains.

2 hours to the supermarket, and 2 hours back..you would surely need to take the chilly bin with you!

Thanks for sharing, your wonderful part of the world down there.

Regards
Dawn

Hi Neroli,
If I had to drive for two hours, I could'nt think of a better place to do it than Wanaka. You are so privileged to have that stunning scenery and clean air.
This is a lovely late afternoon scene.
Well done,
Peter.

It's still very nice photo Neroli. The way the sun catches the tips of the mountains is great, center trees dark and foreground once light again.TFP.

The only trouble with a 2 hour trip is the fuel costs. i have just started work and hardly get half an hour on here where I used to live (TL and its partners I mean)I have just scored a possible 3 whole days off, if the other staff turn up so am having trouble figuring out which of the pile of jobs in need of doing are going to be done and what I aam going to say 'next time' to.I just found your page and all the stuff homesick is made of. There are beautiful photos in there and thank you for all of them. No way I have the chance to comment on each but I sure have had a look. Lived up the Ashburton Gorge and at Westport for a while so the Coast and the mountains are familiar and missed, territory.
