I took this picture on a beach at the catlins in the south of the NZ's south Island.
It was a very lovely day and we made about 700 kilometres up and down the hills, through rainforest and lovely beaches. It was a very funny day, because a great part of the coastal drive is just made with graval-roads and we needed a petrol-station. It was horrible, it was like we had been to no-mens-land. The first time we found a petrol-station, it was closed. Then we just asked an older men, what we can do. He told us to follow the road to a very little village. It should be 5 k's away. We drove about 10 kilometres and there was a petrol-station. It was just like "thank god for helping us". Today it is just a funny thing to tell, but in this moment it was hard! :-)
Well, the picture:
this picture shows the TL-member speed34121, while he was taking a picture of some sea-lions enjoying the sun.
I was looking from the distance, because I had never seen sea-lions that close. We don't have that in Germany, or if we would have it, there would be tall fences and won't be aloud to go there.
It was great trip! |

Hello Sabrina !
Very uinusual and remote spot for a TL members meting !!! (^_^). I wish I was there too and have the opoortunity to visit great people like Sian Sian , Dawn , Janice , etc...
I like it , Photographying a photographer. Am I wrong or your guide told you not to approach closer, and keep a safe distance, not to disturb your subjects.
You seem to be stillfar away to enjoy a good view. Or is was because of the smell, you stayed that far? (^_^)
Looking forward discovering your next shots.
Cheers!
Robert
