[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Avon River in Christchurch, the largest city in the south island of New Zealand, is a man made canal. In some places it is very narrow and even here where the shot was taken, it is only some 5 metres wide.
We were admiring the autumn leaves when a woman,passing by, sat down on the seat to remove a stone in her shoe-hence the title.
Autumn in the south island is very colourful.
It is often said that New Zealanders are more english than the English and no city outside of England is more english than Christchurch.
The image has been cropped at the bottom to cut out a garbage tin but otherwise untouched except for resizing to meet TL requirements

I like the PoV here and the scenery is very beautiful
The only pick here is that your image seems to have a strong blue cast..

I like this blue-green-yellow:) May be a little too blue, but this is seen only on the figure of the lady.
What if to take away a little light from the yellow brunch? To add shadows?
Your gallery is very impressive, Robert:)
And you never use frames:)
I think a nice frame would have added a nice final touch to this beautiful image:)

Nice photo I like the sharpness and framing but the colour does seem a little wrong, maybe the white balance is off a bit.

Hello Robert,

Excellent composition, beautiful autumn scenery and lighting with strong colours. There does seem to be a cool blue cast to the image however, maybe this was intentional or a camera setting error (have a D70 which tends to produce saturated colour). Stefs' workshop with the application of the warming filter has given the photo a more comfortable feel. Well done.
