[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just back after a week in the South Island enjoying the Ski slopes. The weather was perfect and it's the best ski season we've experienced for some years. We were based in Wanaka which is about an hour away from Queenstown. The scenery is just stunning and after coming down from the mountains we would take a walk around the lake enjoying it's many moods.

Nice composition Patricia. Good capture of the Mist on the mountains. Looks like the continuation of the lake.

Hi Patricia. What beautiful photo is this! The fog in sky and mountains complates the picture. I liked the blueness. TFS.

Good to have you back Pat. And what a scene. I can remember Wanaka but only saw it through the rain. This is beautiful, quite soft and serene. And to have the seagull, certainly makes it look like the beach. I like how the mist is clouding the mountains. Well done,

Well composed and shot M. A great shot. Nice foreground, then back ground, good middle. Depth added through tones, mood through the low cloud and the gull. Sharp front to back. That little camera does a great job, however your more recent beach shot looks great too!! Look forward to more. Karey

Beautiful colours and composition Patricia - great without the bird, but even better with it! The fog / low cloud across the water sets it off.
