Nice shot GreenBaron,lovely and clear and beautiful colour. I've never stood on Mt Cook but we flew over in a similar 'chopper like that in June 1985; your photo is a lovely reminder of that experience. We also had the good fortune to fly around Mt Cook and Mt Tasman in a little single-engined (to WhiteKnight's horror!) aeroplane; a very smooth flight in perfect conditions. A wonderful place.

Even in the large size it looks great, sharp and clear outfit. The landscape is beautiful, nice to see the snowy summit during the summer in New Zeland. I think the guys in the heli are stunned by this scene, too. Fine LP post, TFS.

The tight crop gives the feeling of height to the mountain top. Colors well captured. Based on the length of the lens you were pretty close to the action.
Mmmmm the snow looks off white on my monitor, cream color, interesting.

Wow - what an opportunity to be at the very top (almost) of Mt Cook! Terrific capture.

IMO the snow is a little yellow-hued, I would've boosted the blues in this shot.

Great shot Hans, good timing. I hope you took a landscape from up there, it/they would be stunning on a day like that.

I'm not much of a climber so this would be my preferred method of transportation. I love snow and the green helicopter against the blue sky. Very nice shot.

Hans - I almost expected to see you ski-ing down the slope, in a James Bond like pose ;-)
Nice panoramic shot - normally I'd say that the helicopter is too central, but it actually helps to balance the composition nicely.

Green Baron tries to shoot down a Green Helicopter, but he only had a n*k*n.
Hans, very crisp and clear and it looks great in the panoramic size.
You were lucky you could fly up there, because so often it is closed down because of cloud and storms...
The snow looks so smooth

I like how you did this Hansie! Very nice long crop, makes this shot a little more interesting! You are so brave getting in a helicopter. Although I have done it, I was a little afraid the whole time. Nice work, I'm enjoying your pictures!

I like the way the heli brings itself out to the front among the white mountains.

That's the most popular and I think the most maneuverable helicopter, mostly used in the army, although I never liked it.
Preferred the Airwolf ;-) LOL!
