Not sure if are my eyes or the monitor, but the shot looks a bit under exposed. With a such sky, one may expect more light coming from the hole picture.
The contrast between the dry grass and the sky worked nicely. The girl at the top, concentrates all the eyes attention. Her movement attitude brings a very positive mood, to go along with the comment.

Absolutely, not one of your best, Hans.
Dispite of the girl, (centre is not the best place in a picture).
The grasses and path are oversharped and due to saturation out of colour.
Pixels at girls arm and shirt are of the amount of 20 years back.
Advice: take it of.

You know the FIRST thing that came to my mind when I saw this was that it could be on the front cover of a John Steinbeck novel! VERY nice minimalist work here Hans! The mowed section of the grass leads your eye right to her! The BIG sky adds so much to this pic! With a slight tint, it has an "old fashioned" feel to it! I love this!

I guessed that was Esther up there on the hill before I read your notes Hansie.
That grass was dry!! Your composition is good with our eyes following the path upwards to the top where Esther is striding along ahead of you.
I have done a WS - I feel your photo is a bit dark - as you know they often do here on my monitor!!

This is good landscape with path emerging from the left corned leading to the centre of the hill. What one sees beyond that point is of great interest and imagination. Well done

Hi Hans, like Janice, I suffer from the dark monitor syndrome and I like her work shop, your composition is great it gives me the feeling of wanting to know "whats on the other side of the hill?"

I'm waiting for her to break out with a song. She looks like she is on top of the world. I like how you have included so much sky and fields. It really shows us how small we are on this earth, so overcoming challenges and climbing to the tops of hills is a great achievement.

Hoi Hans!

Een foto die net iets anders is dan dat ik van je gewend ben. En nu moet ik natuurlijk uitleggen waarom :-) Tja...Ik vind de kleurtoon, de mevrouw en de grote lucht een hele gave sfeer geven. Nu heb ik nog niet gezegd waarom hij anders is, maar dat is moeilijk te omschrijven haha. Dus ik hou het maar bij: Gave foto!
