A real country road, living in Auckland we don't see many empty roads:).... I love this shot it is very peacful and the composition is wonderful

Nana

Last time I saw that piece of road it was rainig, we were in a truck moving back to Christchurch from just a few klm on the gorge side of the turnoff to Greymouth. Another of the casualties of splitting up, the photos from there were quite interesting. The river in flood was a bit scary the first time we heard it, all those boulders rolling down the river make one ! of a noise in the wee small hours of the morning.TFS

Hi Peter, wonderful catch here. I like the greenery here. Seems mighty green for winter unless it's very mild there, then again, maybe it's tropical.

So you're cousin Pete! Welcome!! I'm a friend of Dawn's, and don't worry, I try to keep her in check - she's a bit of a worry at times!

Good shot here, I have driven over this area and found it quite scary but spectacular! It would look better in a bigger size, as Dawn has mentioned, but you have captured the beauty of the place real well.

Thanks for sharing (TFS)

merhaba peter
very good nature and landscape.
best regards.

Love the shot Peter, but why so small a format? The tinge of mist to the top right is great, yes have always wondered about this part of road. And now that I see it from this very advantageous angle I see that the makers of the road must have had to think for a while when they came to this huge rock cliff... :) Ok I just read some of the attached discussion and boy tells me you have come a hell of a long way with photo shop considering that amazing spiral picture I saw of yours a bit earlier... ;)

Yeah this place has changed me also... it rocks... (Happy Birthday Adam, where ever you are man you done good!)
