Another image from the city I took of my friend Laurel the side walk chalk artist. This time she poses for me by her work.
I liked the juxtaposition between her pose, her chalk words, and the advertising behind it.
In photoshop: duplicate layer, desaturate. Use the rubber tool to return original colour to the parts you want coloured up. The click on background copy layer to increase saturation AS DESIRED. So....are you satisfied?? |

Hi Karen,
Another classic Auckland street scene. I think you have made a nice job of the B&W conversion and selective colouring of the chalk. Nice composition, great pose and words from Laurel.

great words! Nice photo, composition, light...
Good work!
Ana:)
Unique and realistic... two factors that creates a complete and honest shot. I can't say anything else... good positioning and a great idea Karen... two thumbs up, and a third alien thumbs up! :P
Biance.
Hi Karen,
Very nice picture, I love the choice of color and then the rest of desaturation. Very nice tones, and I like the POV.
Thanks for sharing!
