Rew,

if you are trying to achieved the Ghostly effect, i think you achieved 99% only 1 percent for the ghost wearing a red slippery. Composition, lighting, the catching of the fog are superbly done. She seems not relaxs of the situation she seem very stiff. ( para syang naninigas).

Hello Rew,

This picture reminds me of Sadako, the character in the Japanese horror movie entitled "The Ring". :) Very creepy!

But I like how you composed the shot. The position of the subject is perfect, relative to the way she is facing in the frame. Her bowed head negates the space to the right of the picture, because the imaginary line of sight perfectly dissects the image diagonally. :) Hope I make sense! hahaha!

rew, this gives me goosebumps again. i had nightmares by watching all the japanese versions of "the ring" alone at night. well composed and full of mood. that slipper is quite off yes, but the situation at hand might be avoided when the setup was well prepared. :) tfs tito!

I see so many references to Sadako and the Ring. IMO, this much more resembles me the Emily Rose character, as the setting is entirely different - the white nighty and the pleasant fogue are rather more angelic instead of drama-threatening. As if she is about to meet Virgin Mary, just like in the final sequence of the movie. Ok, technicaly is imaculate (sic!) as the character position cuts through the smooth layering of the background. Great shot, best of the serie.

I really like these fog pictures of yours Rew. but this one is just a bit too tight on for the pose IMO. It's so creepy, but the lack of space detracts from this eerie mood.

(btw, I'm not sure if your model is Filipino or not, she's prob Maori since you're in New Zealand, but this series reminds me of the folktale of the "lady in white." A evil entity.]

I will surely repeat what others already said, but to me, the great quality of your photo is in the mood you created (enhanced by an obvious photographic skill - compo/colours): a mood of serenity and inner peace.
