[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
during late winter months, these cute wax eyes become frequent visitors, to our garden... encouraged by a combination of old bread, and dripping that we try to keep supplied, in places close by for watching! They are very busy little birds, so I often find it difficult/frustrating ot get decent pictures of them... this is my favourite for this year, on my new camera.

Beautiful capture. Good sharpness on the birds. Nice soft blurred BG.
And aren't they just beautiful?

Hi Meagan... Good shot of these little birds because they do prance about a bit. What we in Australia refer to as a silvereye.
'In the 1830s they turned up in New Zealand, apparently after being blown off course when crossing Bass Strait from Tasmania, and they are now common in that country.'
Excellent colour and detail, TFS,
David

Hi Meagan, I don't know if this is my fav with your new camera, but...

This is certainly a great photo, I love the composition and the fact that you got them all in frame.

OK, on the technical front, I think that perhaps it is a little on the overexposed front. I kinda know what they would look like in real life and I would have hoped to get more contrast going. Perhaps a little playing with the warm red and a bit of blue might bring it out.

GREAT shot

Cheers

Steve

Well you got three in one shot - that's good. They look pretty good too Meagan. Maybe crop from the right post next time. Then you get a better closer view of the birds.
The only good photo I've taken of these birds is one that my cat caught caught and brought inside to me!
What lens do you have on your 350D and what setting were you using on the camera? Steve says it's a new one, well it is an exciting time for you now - keep on practicing - my best tip for you!!
