Moreporks, owls which are native to New Zealand.
In hte evenings, we often get to enjoy a spa,on our deck overlooking the valley here. This fellow has been joining us for a number of wekes now, often entertaining us with his moth catching activities, or just watching us, watch him!
Taking a pciture of him was hard for me..between camera shake! and night time stuff not being my forte..but thought I would give it a go, and see what you think. Thanks for looking ...Meagan

Hello Meagan,
What a nice little fellow. I like its eyes a lot and this expression. Good POV and details despite those difficult conditions. This lightning is very good too. Well done and thanks,
Claudine

Do not be too modest or timid, it is very good.
Another thing, are you sure moreporks is not using your spa when you are away. So she's just making sure you do not mess the installation. :-))

Belle expression du rapace, de nuit une belle clarté de l'image, les détails des branches et ces yeux fascinants.
Très jolie capture photographique

This is a really great photo Meagan, the shot is just so lovely and clear, focus is on the little guy and he looks just like he was caught in the act ;-) I am also really amazed that you managed to get this shot, they normally are gone in a flash!

Hey I really like what you have done on the border here, that is very subtle and yet works well with this photo.

Cheers

Steve

Excellent Meagan! You've done really well catching this fellow. I've heard them often, who can miss that: "More Pork! More Pork!" but I've never seen one before.
And NO tripod? I love the eyes looking right at you, congratulations,
Janice

Wonderful capture, very sharp and clear.
Well done

Hi Meagan. Extremely well captured. Lovely light and excellent colour and detail. Over the ditch we call them Mopoke's or Boobook's. Well done and TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ' Anniversary Rose’

This is great, he/she draws you into the photo with his/her eyes. You did a great job with this one, especially at night.
