[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This morning was an early start for two NZ Treklensers. Dawn and I wanted to photograph the Queen Mary 2 as she visited New Zealand for the first time. At 0500 Dawn arrived to pick me up and after a stop for some much needed coffee, we arrived at Cheltenham Beach to set up our equipment. When we arrived we shared our spot with 5 other people. As more of Auckland woke up, the more our space become congested. It was a fantastic turn out both on sea and land to welcome this majestic ship. Well done Auckland! My early morning shots have ended up in the recycle bin :-( but I do like this shot as it gives a good indication on the size. Dawn and I and our husbands, are out again tonight to farewell the QM2 as she departs for more adventures. Auckland will say Haere ra (farewell) with a big fireworks display as she leaves the berth at 2200 tonight.

Preciosa panorámica Pam. Una imagen perfectamente centrada con una luz formidable. Estupendos detalles.
Un saludo, JL.

I know you must have had a problem with the light, but as you say it sure emphasises her size, Hope you get some good shots tonight.

Hi Pam,
Excellent view of the skyline of Auckland. As it looks in this view a very attractive and photogenius city :) Nice capture with the 'Queen' included. Nice piece of art from yourhand my dear Pam! TFS.

Well right now you 4 will be boozing at some bar I imagine!! I hope you all managed to get good views of her as she departs Auckland

This is good Pam, it seems strange to see this vessel moored at the container wharf and not at the usual touristy Princes Wharf. I like how we can see the buildings of the CBD of Auckland - all loooks nice and sharp, and what a beautiful day we had too.

Extraordinária imagem, perfeito enquadramento, boa iluminação e nitidez na imagem. Este navio é soberbo, quase o confundimos com os edifícios ao fundo.
Congratulations, perfect shot,
Regards.
