Great shoot, i like the compo and the comtrast with the rock, nice b&w. Regards. -Fran
very good composition. Congls.
Hi Russell
Your picture could also have the title " Where sea and sky come together". This great effect is underlined by the fact that it is a black and white picture. From the technical point of view, it's very interesting to notice the exposure details and the fact you use a grey filter. I have just got mine yesterday, but couldn't try it out yet, the sky is too cloudy today. I would also be interested to know how you realized the black and white effect. As far as the composition is concerned, the rock is - from my point of view - a bit too centered.
A great picture that awakes nostalgic emotions...
Regards
Markus
Hi Russell
I think this is great, I like the effect of the water, how it swirls around the rock. What was the colour original like?
Cheers
Sue
Hi Russel,
A wonderful photo with a bit of an Ansel Adams touch to it. The motion of the waves are perfectly captured and the effect around the rock is superb. I might have tried to get a bit more contrast in the sky and surf.
