Lots of these old buildings are found in the countryside, on farms in New Zealand.. once you have photographed one.. you get the urge to find more and take another photo..

I agree about these buildings I like to look for barns and old houses. I think this is a good photo subject. I like the rusty old roof and the colors of the wood of this shed.

Good old NZ corrugated iron. Good memories of holidays on a family farm as a child. I like your composition and details. Well done Dawn.

Wow I like the character and charm of this old building, well done!

Wonderful photo, Dawn. Your composition is very effective - framing the barn with the branches on the left and right was a good choice, and the backdrop of trees makes the building stand out nicely. Well done!

There was an old broken down barn on the way to my mother's house that I would pass by every week or so while visiting her. I kept meaning to take a picture of it and just two weeks ago I discovered that I was too late - it had been torn down to make way for a new housing tract. :-(

A lovely country scene, Dawn! The rusted roof is good contrast with the scenery. My dad used to paint rustic buildings like this, he has since moved on to Tuscany and the like. Nice post!

Cheers,
Alli

P.S. I have added this to my theme, "Mario's Summer Lodges", hope you don't mind!

My second house Down Under rigth Dawn? Finally my imperium starts to grow there... i will be rich and have a lot of house near you ahahah.

I like the rusty look of it and the contrast against the green
