After some heavy rain the new day is welcomed with a thick blanket of mist - Okuru Valley, South Westland.
It was my first morning off in weeks and I should have been sleeping but this was too good to miss!!

Hi Neroli,
Very nice, a different take of the 'fog' shot.
The low ground mist behind the trees, and the distant hills rising behind makes it very interesting. I would like to see a little sky cropped to just above the tallest tree.
Thanks for getting up early, it was worth it.

very good mood created by the mist Neroli, but you have a too harsh light from the bg. It can be reduce especially those backlit if you use nd gradual filter imo

Hi Neroli, many mistake the whiteness of mist for OE or harsh light. A lovely image, sun just hitting the distant peaks and foggy in the valley. Good colour, lovely detail and nicely cropped. TFS,
