hi dawn, , great clean shot here, excellent colors and clarity,
so true about phones, we just signed up and they are really helpful but we try not to overuse them (so far anyways!)
i really hate seeing people drive with them, trying to steer, change gears and dial a number on a little 3 inch machine!......very dangerous, should be illegal!!!!
ok i feel better...just vented, ha-ha
take care,
scott

Nicely captured, Dawn ... and yes, I'm a hopeless texter. When I first saw somebody texting I thought, that'll never catch on! I just thought it was far too difficult to hit the keys over and over to spell words out, letter by painful letter.
How attitudes change as motor skills develop. :)
Good sharpness, light, detail. Excellent shot.

Haha... looking at the thumbnail I thought you'd mis-posted... should be in 'Japan' not 'NZ'!!! ...
Mobiles are extremely common here in Japan, people are on them non-stop... though these days you can not only 'text' and 'call', but also email, watch TV, listen to music, take photos, play games... some mobiles here in Japan you can even use like an EFTPOS card!!! FREAKY!
The worst I've seen (apart from driving and txting) is couples out on dates, not talking to each other, but 'playing' on their phones!!!
ANYWAY... back to the photo... beautiful and sharp, a great image of youth culture.
Thank you

Kia Ora Dawn !
With her cap on one side, this teen is a very common sight these days indeed !
I am working with a mobile phone for twenty two years already. I will be the happiest man when I will retire ! I will have No &(?%/8 mobile phone or palm with me !
You will leave a message at my home or on my PC if I am not available (^_^).
In the meantime , I will continue having it with me all the time ( SIC) because I have too !
Cheers!
Robert

How did we ever communicate before these devices. Pretty amazing. Great image - love the concentration on her face and everything she has attached to her phone. Dan

I disabled the texting feature on my phone when I bought it -- so I am not guilty of this one at least.
Great capture with nice clear details

Definitely a daily life event here in Launceston Dawn, I have even seen police texting while driving and yet it IS against the law. Nicely composed with good colour and skin tones. TFS,
David

Hi Dawn - sorry I missed this, it's a good, clean shot reflective of our times :-)
It's sharp, the colours are strong and you've caught the texter fully involved in what she's doing. Almost a documentary shot. Very nice!
Very sharp, crisp and clear Dawn. You sure shot her well.
And are you addicted to texting on your mobile phone? NO, I won't tell any tales on you, but. . .
We know what it's like when people buy a new mobile when you are out photographing and all they want to do is play around with their new toy - don't we???
Good shot

Hi Dawn, It must be a global obsession, as it seems the same everywhere. Do you think it is alway necessary communications or maybe a way of avoiding what used to be normal human contact with those around them. I like your composition for its clarity and message. TFS. Murray.
