[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a waterlily (Nymphaea) which is a genus of aquatic plants in the family Nymphaeaceae. The original color of the flower is pink. The name Nymphaea comes from the Greek term "Νυμφαία", possibly related to "Νύμφη" meaning "nymph". The nymphs in Greek mythology were supernatural feminine beings associated with springs, so the application of the name to delicately flowered aquatic plants is understandable. Despite their name, water-lilies are not related to the true lilies (family Liliaceae).
This photo was taken from one of our local gardens (Monavale) here in Christchurch.

Howdy Renier!
Amazing flower. Very godo sharpness and lightness. Original b/w effect. Good take.
TFS!

Very attractive. Waterlilies are a favorite of mine to photograph as they are symmetrical and lend themselves well to macro photography. I can see a slight water ripple adding aura to the background. Greetings!

This is a nice water lily shot, with ripples on the water surface. A careful B & W conversion was made to make the photo in very nice tones. Well done, Renier.
Regards,
Ramdan.

The lily in B/W has an exceptional charm.

ALthough they are lovely in colour Renier your conversion has worked very well. Nicely composed with good detail and the graininess adds that littel extra. TFS,
David
