Hi Renier,
I tried to figure out why you use B&W - I can see that it suits a lot of your pictures, like this one for example, but not all of them. Or maybe that mountain with flowers in front you could have used partial desaturation.
Back to this one. This works great.
The wood and the kayaks provide you with strong lines and further to the BG the blossems are softer as is the sky.
Ha, I have seen the coloured version on TE and I would leave the autumn colours and try to desaturate the wood of the houses and the kayaks, there is just too much colour in that picture - a bit confusing even.
