Girls Weekend Away

I was away this weekend at a Hen’s Party. My daughter is to be bridesmaid at her best friend’s wedding next month and she organised this Hen’s Party up at Quest Matakana, close to Warkworth. What a fun weekend we had.

Quest Matakana is located in the heart of the Matakana Coast Wine Country. What a wonderful place to stay – we all had a ball.

You can see 5 of the 17 villas, and this is the view from the villas we hired. The buildings are placed very privately among 47 acres of olive trees and grape vines, and the 30 of us females had a great time – very noisy at times, but most enjoyable.

Quest has tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and a petanque court, as well as access to the Glen Eden River at Riverside Estate where some of the girls went kayaking.

I’d love to show you some of the girls’ photos but I don’t think I should!!!

Hi Janice, An interesting photo. Have driven past many times. Thanks for the view of this lovely green countryside. Sounds as if you had a great weekend! And no, we won't ask you to share the girls photos!!
Cheers, Pat.

Hi Janice

NZ landscape, great to see!
I love how you have the foreground of the vines (wine growing in NZ is now very big....an nice to taste) with the trees and buildings in the centre, then onto the hills and sky.
Lovely!!
Thanks for your comments on Danni's photos, she wants to get a silver star....so it working hard on her pictures and critiques!!

You can only ask the girls if you can use some pics, I know we are all curious to see them now!! LOL

Hi Janice!

Wonderful landscape presented, this place looks very peaceful and perfect for such an occasion. Although I'm not very surprised it's so beautiful, whole NZ is I think. I'm starting to get knowing a little part of it through posts most often from gracious on TN. I usually go that site so it's very nice to see this type of landscape too. TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hello Janice,

A beautiful landscape you captured. Good perspective and the colours are great, I like the green tones predominant here. TFS

Best regards,
Sorina

Hi Janice... what a lovely pic, nice rolling pasture in the BG, and looks pretty green too.

Sounds like you had a good weekend... I hope you behaved yourself, up there with all the younger girls...and you didnt lead them astray.

You can send pics of the girls to "us" up on the cliff.. we wont let the cat out of the bag.. he he.

Cheers my friend
Dawn.
