Sunset at Raglan

I live on the east coast of NZ and often miss out on the sunsets because there is a hill in the way.

So last week when we arrived at Raglan I knew I had to get out to the coast before the sun set. I drove around a few roads and I just had to stop here as I knew I wouldn’t make it out to the coast in time.

Actually I’m pleased I stopped here because I also got the reflecting colours from the sky in the stream.

It was 5.21pm and the sky was quite orange and then it got dark very quickly.

The next morning we woke to a heavy fog.

Now, over the water there, behind that Norfolk Pine lies Australia. It is about 1337 miles or 2151 kms away.

Hi Janice, We used to go surfing at this rocky left point break as kids many years ago. Hope you have one of the surfers if a swell running the time you were there. Beautiful colours. TFS. Murray.

A gorgeous sunset with fantastic color & reflections. I like the undulating rivulet in the fg. The slight oe in the highlights doesn't bother me. Tfs!
