Oh! Is that the whale-watching centre there?

We went to Kaikoura 5 or 6 years ago for a couple of days, would love to go back with the kids. Wonderful scenery - you have composed this very well, gives a great impression of the vast openness of the area. Lovely shot that brings back great memories.

a wonderful view of winter landscape!
the contrast between white and blue is excellent. the blue is in the sky and the sea, and the white is in the snow and waves, these combination is beautiful.

Hi Martyn,
I've always liked Kaikoura,and thought I might like to live there,but I think it would be quite a bit colder there than it is here. (I was out surfing today and it wasn't too bad ... great view of Mt Cook too)

Kaikoura - I love seeing these snowy peaks so close to the beach.

I recall Janice showing us something similar Martyn. I love the contrasts between that volcanic beach, the snow and the blue of the sky, excellent foreground detail.
