Very good soft lights...skin tone is natural......kissable lips........the black bra strap is a little bit distracting unless it is a kind of style no question about it.......well done Rew.

I can't imagine why she thinks her face looks fat. I guess I think mine looks fat in some photos too, so I can understand where she is coming from. Tell her no one thinks hers looks that way. I like the lighting and everything about it, but I WISH we could read what her tank top says!

Hello Rew. Looks like I am missing out a few beauties here. This one is well exposed with dark hair clearly isolated from the dark background. You'll have to teach me how to soften the skin tone without the use of soft filter. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Rew,

This one is much considerable than the previous one. Her hair is revealed well. She still looks shy and very innocent. I believe her face is not fat. She looks pretty here. Good control of contrast and brightness. Well done my friend! TFS!

P.S. I suggest you to take some photos of Sophia besides an object. Outdoor shots or normal environments are recommended too. I believe you will get much better results.

You know Rew, the element that is most impressive about your work with your models is how well you capture their face and hair. Clarity, skin tones, expression, texture of her hair, her eyes, the touch of color on her cheeks - what is not to like.
Sophia, get over it, you face is NOT fat.

Trademark Rew Lighting and Pose, well done, tell Sophia the camera add's 10 pounds, so she must be tiny in real life. She has no worries at all about being fat. Ignore those airbrushed magazine covers Sophia, they are Not real. Great catalogue photo for her resume

Hi Rew,

You have 5 main lamp for this shot . . and I don't have such a great space at home fro doing this quality shot . . Is it possible just using one main light with several reflectors . . ?
I like the lighting setup to make highlights at the edges of her . .
I am thinking of having one softbox or umbrella and a reflector at the back . .
Quality may not good . . but try to learn basic things . .
I like this image . . her pose is lovely . .

Hi Rew, A lovely new model, with big dark eyes and good hairstyle. The setup and presentation are both good and flattering for her figure. Only thing which worris me (not too much) is the strap showing, but that may just mean i am old fashioned! Drats. TFS. Murray.

Yeah, I rather like this one alot better than the previous shot of her.

She dosent look as "sheepish", if you get me? I think just the pose, over all, is much more flattering, and kind of shows a bit of attitude, its not emotionless.

The other portrait was a bit sheepish looking and almost like she was scared, but this one makes her look more like a strong woman, with a bit of attitude, but not too much.

A very nice portrait!

Ill say this, I didnt care for portrait photography until I studied your work, now I almost want to try it myself!

Hey Rew,

Last night I wrote this long, detailed, and brilliant exposition on this photo and this morning it is missing. Well, maybe it wasn't that brilliant, but regardless, it's not here.

I think you did a much better job separating the model from her background here. I'm still amazed at how much a slight change can impact the final outcome of a photo.

That said, I think I prefer the jet-black background which, as has been noted, blends too much with her hair. I also prefer the more intimate, tight composition of the previous image.

I still give this one a super-smiley. I love your portraiture and look forward to your work.

-- Fat face? I tire of female affectations. If she's confident enough to voluntarily stand in front of a photographer, she should not have to question her physical appearance. She's a gorgeous model and in the lens of a good photographer.

Hi Rew,

This photo somehow stood out among all the thumbnails of your photo that I was viewing. Maybe it is the contrast of the model's white top with the dark BG. I do not know much about the technicalities of shooting the perfect portrait but I can see that the skin tones and lighting position is just how the eye should see it. I like the model too. She's beautiful.
