Hi folks,

Maybe some of you know about this kind of candy, the peanuts are the combined with honey then coated with sesame seeds to make the candy, and I tell ya, it is not that sweet if you are looking for those real sweet stuff! :P

I didn't make this, I bought it in the Asian gocery shop, it came in a packet, but it look really nice for photoshoot. :P Don't you think so?

great shot, good light and DOF
Looks yumm

Hello Sweet,
Yes, I'm very familiar about this candy. I recognized it straight away from the thumbnail. When we were kids, we used to buy it for about 20cents a piece. My dad loved it and usually bought himself a whole packet - back when he still had his whole set of teeth! LOL. Some are mixed with bigger nuts.
A lovely composition of the peanut candy. Good light and focus with great colors and details. You made it look real good. Very, very well presented.
Now, it made me want to go out looking for some. Thanks for sharing.

Best regards,
Sharina

Hey Sweety,

Great lighting here. I like the simple colors, too. Keeping the colors tight by only using the browns of the candy and the plain white of the plate & background really makes this shot stand out.

A touch more depth-of-field might be necessary, though. Since the criss-crossed candies are so close and the middle of the bottom one is pretty much in focus, I would like to see the tip of that one remain in focus as well. I also think a composition similar to your Rocky Road shot would be nice. There seems to be quite a bit of white space around this one and I think a nice tight composition would be in order.

By the way, would you stop posting food pictures? You keep making me crave sweets!

-- On a side note; how about a macro of the sesame seeds? That looks like a nice texture.

Yes I do agree , Sweety, it does work well for a photo shoot. I like how you have arranged it and the light you have used to show the sesame seeds. Good idea and well captured. Now you have made me hungry for a tasty treat like this.

Delicious. I love the depth of field chosen and the composition of diagonals. I just found this type of candy in the Asian section a few weeks ago. I take it with me hiking now. TFs. K2
