I took this photo during a vintage car show. Sorry I'm not sure the model and make of this car.
I've posted the color version in the workshop if you're interested in viewing and comparing it with this B/W version ... or posting your own post processing version. Thanks for viewing.

Woah!! Renier, this one really does jump out from the thumbnails, what a powerful shot! The low POV works incredibly well - the b/w treatment is wonderful and that sky is impressive. I'm kinda lost for things to say here, this really is very good and appeals to me very much indeed. Fantastic image!

Excelent POV and good treatment in B/W, with these impressive clouds. Well done! Nil.

Wooah I love this one Renier! Great low POV, fantastic balance to the shot, great use of the negative space of that spectacular sky, perfect metering and beautiful work on the conversion to b&w.
Great work!

Although I am not so much a B/W fan Renier, have to say this is
realy a catching photo !
The idea of taken it close to the car front gives the nice effect
of looking up to a giant Very sharp !

Hello Renier!
Lovely car! Nice oerspective! Beautiful contrast and details!
TFs, Best regards, Zorica

This kind of image is great in mono. Very well done Renier. I like the dramatic sky, and the oldy's details.

Hi Renier. A real 'stand-out' example of B&W car photography. I bet the owner would love a copy! It works excellently as it stands but it's worth considering cropping from just above the aerial to focus solely on the car as the sky can also be slighly distracting. Excellent work. Paul.

Hello 'Bai,
Your pov reminds me of a macro shot of an insect, with the headlights serving as the compound eye. You have effectively used your good eye on this composition. Hope things are well. (I am doing well. My doctor(s) told me I can travel again but I don't know where to go. Am toying with the idea of Central America or back to Asia). Have a good day!) Danilo

Hi Renier,
Very beautiful bw photo,fantastic clouds,congratulation.
Best regards,
Ralf

Great capture of what seems to be an 1938 Ford (I'm assuming the plate number is no accident or coincidence)
The B&W is perfect for this and the low angle/wide angle shot makes for a very interesting and creative viewpoint from which to show off this automobile. Makes it stand out from "just another" old car shot. :)
Well done,
TFS,
Wilt

Renier, great work, great B/W choice, good composition, contrast,...

Hello Renier.
For one moment I thought to see my first car, which was a Citroen 1953 model, (The real Ganster car)
But this picture is sharp enough, to see the trade mark, which is a Ford, V8 cilinder.
Very well captured and shown here.
Have a nice day.
Jan

Hello Renier! Wonderful car. Fantastic POV. Original sky and clouds. Good capture. Very good picture. Well done!

Another which begged for conversion Renier. An excellent POV, good tones and lovely textures. Definitely a Ford and I will bow to Pete's knowledge. TFS,
David

Hello Renier,

Very interesting POV, having this dramatic sky as a BG. Good idea to chose B&W tones.
Best regards,
Sorina

Hi Renier,

I don't know either what car is this, but it's an old and antique car . . I saw several oldies car in the country who owned by limited people . .
Perfectly presented in BW . . it adds the oldies nuance . .
Sharp and excellent contrast for this image . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Many thanks for your kind words on From New Zealand .

This is superb Renier!! what a strong B&W with a fantastic POV!! a winner! well done!
LuDivine

Hi Renier,
The black and white is so much punchier and contrasty compared to the colour original.
I like how you have given the sky more contrast and drama.
I could be wrong, but I think it is a Ford Lincoln Zephyr V8.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Renier,
Your photo is so clear and sharp I can see Ford V8 on the chrome where the hood lifts. The stormy sky and shinny details of this sedan reall pop. Love the side mirrows against the vivid sky.

Hi Renier,

Stunning!
Of course it helps that I love classic cars, but this is a picture with quite some impact.
I removed a favourite picture from way back to be able to include this one.

Hello Renier,

I like the point of view and framing!
The composition gives a dynamic impact, fine details and a rich contrasty tonality in the black and white conversion...

Greetings,
Pablo -

Whoooooah!!! Really a great composition, capturing the beauty of the vintage car from a very interesting angle. Making it more dramatic was the backdrop... beautiful cloud formation. Very nice shot, Renier.
Regards,
Ramdan.

Your B&W version of the photo is more dramatic than the colour one, for sure. The low PoV and wide angle makes for a powerful view.
How do you usually convert from colour to B&W. I'm just learning and see that you like B&W and therefore must have some tricks to share.
Thanks. Karin
