Pluteus velutinornatus
Velvety shield

Cap: 40-70mm diameter,at first convex then concave at centre,pale yellow-brown to pale pink-brown,decorated with velvety dark brown to black fibres in a lace like pattern.
Gills: Free,off white to pale pink-brown at first then dark pink.
Stem: 40-60mm high,4-10mm in diameter,cylindrical with a distinctly bulbous base,pink-brown to brown,bulb white.
Ring: Absent.
Flesh: Pale pink-brown,sometimes with a blue tint.
Spore print: White.
Habitat: Found on fallen branches and logs in broadleaf-conifer forest.
Fruiting Season: Mainly in the autumn but also after spells of warm rain.

This is the same fungi I posted on Trek Nature a few days ago under the title 'Natural Bird Bath?'

Today I was shooting mostly in manual mode,but it was almost impossible to set up a tripod here,and there was plenty of light,so I reverted to auto for this shot.I was reasonably pleased with the result.
