oh Renier.. i really like this b&w capture.. it's so old style.. as it was taken from a b&w movie.. maybe from russian movie (from its country).. sure i couldnt bet from new zeland.. so unusual imagine that country in this way so frozen!! ;)) intersting light and details.. atmosfere is so unreal!! my compliments

This one I find challenging. I so look forward to seeing winter in the South Island in all its crisp whites, blues, and golds, that I almost feel deprived with a black-and-white shot.
Certainly it gives a different perspective ... but I can't help wishing it was in colour.

One of the things that caught my eye in my one and only trip to NZ was the colour of the poplars Renier. An excellent comversion with the lighter parts having little or no OE. A lovely crisp image,

Nice capture and composition here. Great DoF and sharpness. I like the BW conversion a lot on this image...it almost looks like infrared to me, pretty intense.
Not sure it yells winter to me, but a great shot and presentation nonetheless.

Bonjour Renier,

This one really does not work completely in B&W - and how I know that --- because I visited the original version on TE --- although the textures and composition are good, I really miss the colours --- so for points I went to TE, and don't bother to make a return visit there ^-^.

A truly magic landscape!
Can only imagine the beauty of colors, that I think as deep and intense... althougth, in this case, I definitely appreciate B/W because of its special overall mood.
