[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an older pic taken last year, as the weather has not been so good to go and take some new shots.

Karekare is a popular destination for Aucklanders in summer. Despite this, the area has retained much of its natural beauty and isolation, and does not get the high number of visitors recorded by its northern neighbour (Piha), partly because the road is narrow and only recently sealed.

Hi Tim,

what a slendid view...it's so beautifully captured.
is it dark and wet sand or the water surface? the triangle object at the far BG looks like a shark's fin.

Hi Tim.
A lovely photo. i love dark sand and the oily look of the water, The pink of the reflection in the foamy bubbly part of foregroundis nice. I think the rock or island in the distance almost looks like a shark as well. Great capture
Cheers

Quite attractive scenery Tim. I like the deep colours of the wet sand and then the white balls of foam.

Magic light and lovely reflection!

You live in such a gorgeous place Tim! This is nice, love the sunrise/sunset warm light on the beach! We have foam too! (lol!) but that's about all we have in common with this shot here! But wait! That is a HUGE shark to the right! See it?? My goodness! Be careful! Looks like he is coming ashore!
B-)

Fantastique, comme toujours Tim. On pourrait penser à déversement de pétrole. Bravo Gilles
