admire lens 10-20mm
nice framing
This place brings back some nice memories. I miss the night lit tower that I always admired driving back from the North Shore. You have done well here with this hand-held shot. Wow...you also managed to meet up with REW! Well done and hope you enjoyed your visit to the city of sails.
cheers,
Dilshan
Pretty steady after a couple of ales David :)
Nice perspective ... I like the straight-up view, and the slight distortion. Colors are great too. I might have cloned out those two bright areas that stick out over the roof edge on the left side ... but it's not a biggie.
How nice that you could meet Rew.

Hi David
Looks like Sydney Tower, Seoul Tower or Calgary Tower. Dynamic pov with good diagonal upward pov & well managed exposure in this superb nocturnal view. Good sharpness & nice distortion from the wide angled lens. Tfs!

WOW! Extreme angle! Nice exposure for a night shot David! Super sharp image! Do you like that Sigma 10-20?? Or do you think it's a bit TOO severe?
B-)

Hi David,
I was surprised to see your name under a shot of our sky tower. I like the angle and PoV and interesting to hear your comments on the 10-20 Sigma
cheers

Ah so you did manage to point your camera at a few things - even if it was only a few steps from your hotel lobby!
Nice use of the wide angle lens here to give the Skytower a unique look, the elongation of its circular 'crown' is quite striking.
Can't help wishing that it was aimed up towards the upper-right corner for compositional tidiness, that corner-to-corner flow would've worked very well.
Very sharp for a 1/8s exposure!!

Hi David,
You should have wished to have a tripod available this time :-) I like the POV here, the 10mm focus lenght works perfect. Nevertheless the noise is too distractive in my opinion, particular the colours noise in the lower part. The sharpness is fine despite the 1/8 sec! (this was before your beer with Rew? :-)
I'm sorry not to give you the full TL credits, but it's my honest opinion.

Love the point of veiw and after a few ales theres bound to be some noise. This is great for a hand held shot.
Well done.

Hello David,
How I would love to visit N.Z.
It has so much to offer, besides Rew and Janice, of course!
I love the pov where lines point the eyes straight to the circular top. The pink light stands out well against the black of the night.
The angle is excellent. A crop could have placed the upper end firmly in the t/r/h corner without upsetting the other composition.
Noise is a problem with night photography with the 200.
My husband has a 300 which doesn't seem to have the same problem.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hi David
Excellent perspective, the handheld has worked well with you, the noise understandable. The tilt works very well, very well done.
Regards
Jim

I HAVE LIKED THE WONDERFUL ANGLE YOU HAVE TAKEN TO SNAP THIS SHOT.
YOUR SHOTS ARE MOSTLY VERY CREATIVE.
GOOD LUCK.
