A shot of an unripe plum dropping into a glass of blue powerade using a sound activated flash in a darkened room.

I initially discarded this shot because the plum hit the rim of the glass and rocked it but I quite like the effect it created.

My last shot had quite a few blemishes in the BG which didn't show up on my monitor but Scott gave the the tip of using maximum brightness to highlight them, so hopefully there are none on this one - maybe I also need new glasses

Jack, No new glasses for you... for now. The movement effect makes all the positive difference for this shot. Colors against the black BG are nice, but that movement stands up.
Nice presentation too.
Cheers,

Wellington

Hi Jack,
a very nice creative shot. lovely colors. I think I would have framed the whole glass in this case.

Hi Jack,
Awesome job! The water looks like jelly or oil. It looks relatively blemish-free, although to be ultra picky there's a patchy bit to the left of the highest point of the splash, and a very fine patch where the liquid splashes to the right (can only see it when viewed on my laptop). Still a definite improvement over the last one though and certainly not noticeable on a CRT monitor.

Anyway, the central composition works well here, as do the blue lines on either side. Good choice with the unripe green plum, stands out from the blue hues of the Powerade nicely. Bravo.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Jack...
Nice work...
Beautiful colors and composition...
Have a nice weekend...
Regards...
Andro

Each new one gets better, I'm sure you have repeated these shots many times untill you got one that you were happy with.

The two images of the glass is a great effect. Almost one glass within another.

The blue colour is very intense, I think your new addiction has really gripped you Jack.

Well done.

Ralph

I much prefer this one. The rocking of the glass kind of bring extra interest to this shot. It just shows that some accident may bring something real special to an image.

Nice blues and greens...)))Nice mixture of freeze water and blur glass. Very attrative visually. I'm not to sure about the decorative blue line, not that I don't like, but I feel a square transparent effect would have been more balance (but that only one's opinion.)

There is still some trace of blemish on your black background(top left)....but it kind of work in this one.

Hi Jack...great shot...beautiful colors and sharpness..nice work.

Hi Jack,
I like the 'double exposure' really adds something to a stunning image.

I have been following your experiments, but typing was a real ordeal for me. I'm getting used to it now, hopefully it comes right after another op (fifth) in January.
Cheers, and have a great Xma.
Pete.
