Wow! Superb first posting! Nice details, clear and sharp photo! The expression in the eyes is very well captured! Great shot! Bravo! Michel
Hello Jim and welcome to TL! I live in Memphis and thought I recognized this photo! Ha! This is the first image I have seen on this forum with the new Tamron Zoom. I have my eye on that lens and judging from your shot it has great clarity, detail, and color saturation. I have the 28-75 2.8 and it is one of my favorite lens. Somehow a little green got mixed into the light on his face which may have reflected off the grass he is eating. You could probably pull that out of his face with curves or hue/saturation. Very excellent work and I look forward to more of your images. Brent
I like this portrait.
Some leaves hanging ot of its mouth or A wider angle to show thats its a silver back would have been cool.
But with a zoo setting its important to crop out all the zoo stuff.
Nevertheless great photo.
Matt
good detail and I like the look of the gorilla.
Maybe he recognized a family resemblance?? Just kidding! This is a great post and displays a lot of character in this guy! I love the expression in his eye! Nice cropping and detail! Welcome to TrekLens!
Welcome to Treklens, Jim. Glad to have you here. You have joined us with a good first post. I like the way you chose to crop just his face, thereby highlighting those eyes of his!! TFS....:O)

ce portrait est superbe. J'aime bien l'éclairage jaune qui met en valeur l'expression des yeux . Bravo !
Très expressif, il a l'air beaucoup plus intelligent que moi sur mes portraits. bonne prise.
Thanks for sharing this magnificent work with us.Looks as if he was posing, and he has a friendly look, doesn´t he?Congratulations.Yod
P.S By the way can they be tamed and estabilish any level of relationship with humans?
Very nice indeed. Amazing facial expression on him. Almost seems to be amused about something!

I think you pushed the wrong country link. Vanuatu has no gorillas to my knowledge.
