Okay, miserable rainy day here in New York, I was supposed to get my boat back for the season, but it's just too miserable with gale force, almost, winds and heavy rain, so instead I decided to play....
Here's a composite image taken by our Daughter-in-Law Serena in April of this year where they currently live in Melbourne, of my Son Marc and Grandaughter Georgia, and a scanned image, from around 1983, of my Daughter Mandy when she was about the same age as our Grandaughter.
It's not as perfect as I would like, tough matching the scanned image to the original digital one, for me anyway, but the comparison of them at the same age and both with hats was too much to resist.
I figured I'd throw it out here and I could get tips on how to do it better.
Used all kinds of tools here to outline my Daughter and "drag" the outlined image into the original and used perspective to resize it and overlay it.
Some levels set on all to try to come close to matching tones and image quality. Didn't make it but it's fun to see what one couldn't have seen.
Soft bordered and resized, finally, for posting on TL. Both originals are in the Workshop in you're curious.
Hope you find it fun too. :0)

Hi Wilt,
Great idea of merging pictures, but I can't give you help to improve further . .
I like the concept that with digital we can do anything to make what we want about imaging . .
You have the skill to do this editing . . As Linda suggestion to take care individual image to make it similar condition, and then merge it . .
How's the weather there? Seems the world is not compromising lately . .
Happy day . .
Tfs,
TJutjut
Many thanks for your kind words on Flow .

Wilt,
Great effort on this picture. This type of editing is very difficult and beyond me. However I like the creative effort displayed.
Regards,
Kevin
