[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ok, after some unconvincing feedback about the Kristy-on-the-Tracks photo I posted yesterday, I've re-posted with another version.

Better?

Or what about the alternative one?

The problem really was that we took so many shots I just couldn't choose which to post - each had its merits, each has its points to be criticised.

In every case I think Kristy did a terrific job, and we had a whole lot of fun; and in the end, that's really all that matters.

Dear Rew,

Beauty n frame..
This is excellent framing.
Her moods, the nature, well portrayed.
I wish, you happy days.

jp

Hi...
I'm not a fan of those type of dresses..
I prefer this shot. I find the yellow dots very distracting on the other one.

So this one is the beter of the two

hello Rew

I saw your earlier post and about to comment on it later. Anyway, I prefer this version because the portrait is more intimate to the model. It is also good that your recent series are outdoor, for a change away from studio shots.

The curved railtrack is great and if I were to pick on details, I would say place her exactly between the trailtrack (the head and arm) and the strand of hair covering the left eye. But that's just my opinion.

A great portrait shot with good light control.

tfs, bill

I prefer this to the last
Like the curved track

Bom dia Rew

fantastic take. wonderful photo. Perfect.

My regards

Teresat

Hi Rew,

I really like this portrait, her pose is beautiful and i like the rough of the stones and the elegance of her outfit! very nice.
LuDivine

Hi Rew,
This one very much interesting,i haven't seen the previous one Kristy on the track.
How about this one Rew..did you use additional tools?..reflector or something else for the lighting?
Very nice and good deatils.

I see also on a WS...i like that pic too, that picture i have opinion Rew..i like to see if Kristy lie down on the dotted yellow line.. thats give more attractive.I don't know how to write Rew but i know what is in my mind..:)
Just my opinion..

CM

I like it, well done, well selected BG, well composed, Kristy is pretty but here she looks exceptionally well!
brgds - Tomasz

hello Rew

sharp, clear, detailed with nice defused BG
another good portrait shot with different POV
i like the place of the shoot, exceptional. i hope this was the Off Train time :)

Manuj Mehta

Hi Rew,

Superb capture, Rew.
Kristy is complete free of the background.
Dept is really amazing.!
Bravo
But ehh...Be careful, trains can drive very fast.
Complements from Jan

Hi Rew
I do like your POV here
The contrast of the stones and her shiny shoes is nice
I am not sure I like the placement of her arm (one in front) as the postion looks unnatural and uncomfortable...jus my view though.
I also like this one better than the alternative post and agree with Fernol...not a fan of those tube dresses :P
Regards
Tracey

Hello Rew,
I like this of all the recent photos of Kristy-on-the-Tracks. The f/4 and 1/1250 seconds appear perfect for the condition and intention. The blurring diagonal rail track is graphic and rightfully allows the viewer to go back at Kristi's image. Her facial expression shows a bit of mischief (in a good sense), her red pouty lips pop out and contrast well with her smooth brown skin, her left arm is relaxed (not sure about the other arm). Overall an excellent portrait with impeccable tech settings and admireable artistic direction. I can't offer any suggestions as how to further improve it. Best regards, Danilo

I was just coming back to comment on your yesterday post, this is PERFECT in my eyes. I love the pose and the framing. The curved track is great! Very good expression and I like the eye contact. Added to my favorites. I love this original pose and the clothing is very suited to this. Have a happy day! The ws is also very original. Good job!

Hey Rew,

Please don't get me wrong, I really appreciated yesterday's photo. I thought it was quite creative and definitely not an angle I would have seen.

That said, I prefer this one. It is more intimate, as has been mentioned, where the last one seemed a more voyeuristic. Both have their places in creative portraiture.

I agree with trekks regarding the track on the left. I think your could have sacrifice a little bit of the tracking on the right for some more on the left. I also agree with you, the hair covering her eyes is kinda sexy.

Great shot. (I still don't see why you needed to move yesterday's).

skot

Hello Rew!
All shots with Kristy are very good!
Excellent focus and point of view in all images!
Perfect done!
Best regards!
Lili

Sorry bro, meant to get in here and tell you that I LIKED the one from before, how it was real far from the subject, I thought it was neat, a little different.

But these are good too. Irregardless, your good at what you do and shes good at looking good. :)

I once had a very wise photographer tell me portraits are that much easier when you have good looking models to work with. :)

I like this one Rew. She's closer. The tracks look good taken on teh curve. Kristy looks GREAT! Good pose - looks bit uncomfy, but she handles it perfectly.

Another excellent job !
Don't know if it was possible but maybe more of the left rail in the frame would have been great

thanks,
v

Hi Rew, Perhaps the best of this current railway series. The zoom gives good detail of the model. High degree of clarity and curvy model and rails! TFS. Murray.

Hi Rew,

very eye catching image! I love it!

Congratulations,

another master piece glamour shots...

Hi Rew,
Professionally captured ... the rough texture of the surrounding rail tracks compliments Kristy's costume. This time the tracks worked to your favor as it framed your subject. Lighting and skin tone is perfect ... excellent work! tfs

Hi Rew
I Like either of these better than yesteresys. She is a lovely women and in these two we can see her eyes. Her hair is well done with the small amount of highlights. I dont mind the hair covering one eye - adds to the mood.

Dan

It's the best of this series. I like the contrast between this young woman with its sophisticated high heels and the railway line with the ballast stones.
Maybe, I would have lowered the angle of view a little more, for open the horizon.

But it's a great portrait again,
Thx.

She's an impeccable model, Rew. The only thing on this one was the lock of hair over her right eye, it gives her a kind of pirate look, maybe that's what you wanted, though. TFS Great sharpness and clarity, as is usual with this camera.

Hi Rew,

I really like you alternative shot more and the yellow dotted line adds an interesting perspective to the shot.

Shaun

Hi Rew,

I prefer this version Rew. This is more realistic and your POV is more original. Very good focus you had on the subject. Very nice blur in the background made Kristy outstanding. I love the way she put her right hand on the stones. She made a very cute parallel lines with her left rail irons. At the end we see a nice curve of the rails which makes the photo different with the classical photos. Excellent! TFS!

Regards,
Masroor

hi REW, i'm a fan of your portraits... you have talent to take shots filled of emotions... congratulations... tFS..

I LOVE THE POSE HERE REW!!

its really fav placement - the rails..of most of photographers..
i dont know why!

but its very interesting and creative place,
TFS

Kisses for you!!

ANia

Hi Rew

Wooow, you always bring up different idea especially place to pose.... great thinker... TFS

Amri HMS

nice shot and great model too.

Hi Rew
Perfect & fantastic take. Wonderful photo with good the DOF.

Love the shot and the attitude to it I have a slight problem though her hand is covering the heel of her shoe which was off to me but maybe its cause I'm a shoe freak... She is a wonderful model and you capture real beauty in your models not just the looks. That is a gift and I wish I had half of the talent that you show. TFs
Christan

She is really pretty man. And the way you captured is very well organized. What time did you take this photo? I think ISO 800 is quite large which could make the picture a bit grainy. Shutter speed around 300 and ISO 100-200 would be good, to my opinion. Sothy

Hello Rew
IT's not a fair behaviour to abandon one's girlfriend on a busy track!
I like the studied pose isolated by a narrow DOF and or course her nice complexion.
Best regards.
Robert

I like that one !
I think that the look of your model, the railways and the atmosphere we can feel are really great..
congrats !!

What a great setting all together model and the rail track, wonderful, a very crsipy, deep detail of the model and the out of focus rail track an excelent combination in the portrait photography. I like it very much.

Very well done.

I have just changed my camera and bought a new Sony A200 DSLR, I would love to your comments on my new work.

Love from Pakistan
