2008 Auckland International Buskers Festival

This is a part of a series of some of the people I captured at the Buskers Festival at Auckland City last February 2008.

The advertising blurb read:
"The hottest busking acts from around the world set Auckland's street corners and squares on fire each summer. From the Viaduct to Aotea Square the streets will be transformed into a playground for some of the world's most talented International Street Performers.

I did like the look of this man. He was really enjoying the acts of some of the buskers.

What is a busker?
A busker is a street performer who entertains and delights others for voluntary donations.

What do Buskers do?
Well, what don’t they do? Buskers juggle, dance, perform magic tricks…. The list is just too long to fit in here!

How much money should I give the Busker?
It is up to you how much you pay. Buskers actually earn their living by ‘passing the hat’ so if you enjoy their performance let them know when the hat is passed to you. How much would you expect to pay for a ticket to a similar performance at the theatre or circus?

Hello Janice.
Very good portrait of this guy at street.
Pinsharp so to speak.
When you had cloned out the railing behind his face, it had become even better.

HI Janice
This depicts the typical kiwi bloke stance doesn't it!!
A nice natural pose and a well composed, sharp image
Cheers
Sue

I don't think I would like to meet him in a dark alley Janice. Excellent PP work to make him stand out from the background more. Well composed and good even colour.
