I had another idea in mind for this subject that did not quite work out as planned; this is Plan B, one clock face on the Launceston Centenary Clock and Chimes tower taken from street level, thanks to Helen for the themes.

From a plaque attached to the building is the following information… Launceston Centenary Clock and Chimes, 1806 - 1906, erected by public subscription in the reign of Kind Edward VII to commemorate the city of Launceston in Tasmania.

The Launceston General Post Office is of a distinctive design in the Federation Queen Anne style and it is a very early example of that style in Australia. Built of red brick and freestone, the building displays high quality materials and workmanship, as seen in the preference for stone over concrete for dressings, the quality of the carved stonework, and the leadlight work.

A major feature is the corner tower. It has terra cotta diaper work, balustrades, four clock faces, an octagonal upper section and an open cupola.

Very nice David. It's a nice looking clock face with the Roman numerals - actually it is quite attractive with the mauve centre-piece too.
I do like how you have framed it too - well done

Hello David, there are so many phrases that feature Time, this is an excellent play on the words.
I like your pp work, well done. The vignetting is very appropriate.
I like the quote.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Thanks for your comments on 'Training hard'.

a subtle twist David, but it plays the message well. nice pp!

Hi David: Were you thinking of Dali's Persistence of Memory? That's the first thing that came to my mind as I read the title......
Cheers
Otto

Hi David,
The b&w rendition of Centenary Clock works, and literally looks warped on one side. It has good tone and contrast, a good entry to Helen's Friday theme. I would be curious to know what Plan A was. Enjoy the remainder of the week. Danilo

Hello David,

I'm sure it's not a warped mind that thinks of 'Time Warp'!, just a very inventive one!
Good pp work!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hey, a nice quote to conclude your note, David. I like the idea and the warp filter, but for me you might have extended the throttles a bit further ☺^☺. Nice tech notes too.
And thanks for providing the original view in the ws section, that sheds some light on the work you did.

Hello David
Sorry for the delay to answer your kind words.
Nice work that reminds me of that "liquid" pocket watch signed by Salvador Dali, the Catalan painter!
A music CD I have is titled Time Warp and features the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra; it's a torture for speakers!
Best regards.
